There are many parish and community activities and event beginning November 17 that are worthwhile.  Please see attached list.

Art & Environment

We are looking for creative individuals to plan the Liturgical Environment of the St. James Worship Space and altars for special liturgies and liturgical seasons.

Also do you know how to remove wax from linens? We are seeking a volunteer able to spare a day or couple of hours each month with this task. You may take items home or work here.

Senior Box Distribution: Volunteers Needed

The monthly distribution of senior boxes offers those much needed basics for every day living that can take a lot out of a small income.

Volunteers should come to the Ministry Center at 723 Rebecca Avenue, 15221 on Friday, August 25 , at 9 am.

Last Minute Request: Volunteer for Braddock Produce to People

This Saturday, help Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank distribute fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as other nutritious grocery items, to families and individuals in need. Moms and dads, teachers and kids, friends and neighbors…this is our community. Together, we will distribute upwards of 20,000 pounds of food at this distribution!

Volunteers Needed on June 30, 2017

Volunteers are needed on the Friday, June 30, from 9 to 11 am to help our Social Services Ministry with the Senior Food and Paper Product Distribution, at the Ministry Center. This distribution offers those much needed basics for every day living that can take a lot out of a small income.

 

Health Ministry Volunteers Needed

St. James Health Ministry is actively seeking volunteers. Activities include monthly BP monitoring following Masses, BP monitoring and health counseling at St. James monthly food distribution, monthly bulletin boards, as well as CPR and AED instruction as needed.

Refugee Volunteer Training: Help New Americans Adapt

Want to help first generation Americans adapt to their new lives?
Catholic Charities is offering training sessions for volunteers on Saturday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 26.  Please see attached for details.
As a volunteer, you can help families understand a new culture. This is an excellent opportunity to offer invaluable help to newcomers to our country and city.
