RCIA: January

Starts: January 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm
Ends: January 29, 2015 at 9:00 pm

RCIAEveryone is welcome to attend any RCIA sessions to learn more about the Catholic faith and practice.  The sessions are held in the Religious Education Office in the school at 7 pm.

  • January 8: Heaven and Hell… we used to know what to expect after death – – – streets of gold in heaven, extended fire in Hell, and less than eternal fire in Purgatory. What does religion now tell us to expect? Father Metzler will lead the session.
  • January 15: Baptism celebrates our rebirth in Christ. When we are confirmed, we are sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. Jeanne Clancey will lead the session on Baptism and Confirmation.
  • January 22:  There is so much to be said about injustices that exists today.  Jim Ruck will lead the session on Social Justice.
  • January 29:  Jesus did not suffer because suffering has a value in itself. It is not the physical death of Jesus that saves us. Rather, it is the love that led Jesus to suffer that saves us. Jeanne Clancey will lead the session on  Death and Resurrection. CANCELLED
