Holy Thursday: April 13, 2017 at 7 pm in the Church

  • The Mass this evening recalls the Institution of the Eucharist.  Included in this Mass is a ceremony called the Mandatum, or  the Washing of the Feet.  In this ceremony we are challenged, along with the apostles, to imitate Jesus fully. Holy Thursday ends with a solemn procession of the reserved Eucharist to an altar of repose where we will be asked, just as the apostles were, to watch and wait with Jesus on this long, dark night.
  • After Mass, the church will remain open for Night Watch, just as the apostles were asked, to watch and wait with Jesus on this long, dark night. There will be a Closing Night Prayer at 9:45 pm.
