Eucharistic Ministers

Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist

The Eucharist constitutes the very life of the Church, for the Lord said:”I am the bread of life. No one who comes to me shall ever be hungry, no one who believes in me shall ever thirst”.

The administration of Holy Communion during the Mass is truly a ministry. It is the ministry of bringing the sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ to the People of God. It also witnesses to faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the action of sharing in the Eucharistic meal of Christ’s sacrifice.

Your willingness to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, reflects not only response to your Baptismal call to serve the people of God, but a commitment to Christ as you share in the preaching, teaching and leading aspects of the church. You offer the Eucharist, recognize the Body of Christ in those to whom you offer Eucharist and ultimately you act as the Body of Christ by fully participating in the life of the parish and the wider community. Your willingness to commit to a monthly schedule further reflects that commitment.

God of Love and Mercy.

With reverence and humility, I approach the Eucharist and this ministry.

Grant me the grace to help others encounter you in this sacrament.

I ask through you son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
