Social Justice and Community Action

The Social Justice and Community Action Ministry is responsible for Saint James works of charity and justice.  This ministry is tasked with Jesus’ direction to be of service to others in need while working to change the social conditions that create such needs.

Specific activities include the Health Ministry, Food and Paper Bank, Mary’s Child, a  program for parents, grandparents and guardians who care for children up to 5 years old, Peace and Justice Committee, Wilkinsburg Ministerium Representative, Liaison with the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation, and Pennsylvania Interfaith Impact Network (PIIN) parish representative.
