Pentecost 2016

B063Pentecost_2_cf03_4cThis weekend on Sunday, May 15, St. James will offer one Mass to celebrate Pentecost at 10:00 am with a luncheon and parish meeting in the chapel following the Mass. Please bring a dish to share with the St. James Parish Community.  You can bring your dish/item down to the Chapel before Mass.

As a parish community, we have traveled together in prayer and in action inspired by our faith.  On this day we will celebrate, hear together the message of hope and confidence from our Pastoral Council and then the voices of one another in our clarifying questions, concerns and reflective comments.  We hope everyone will be able to attend.

And wear a splash of red to celebrate the birthday of the Church.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Come, O Spirit of God
And make within us your dwelling place and home.
May our darkness be dispelled by your light,
And our troubles calmed by your peace;
May all evils be redeemed by your love,
All pain transformed through the suffering of Christ,
And all dying glorified by his risen life.
